In Which We Meet Nate

I feel like a newborn, brought blinking into the world of blogging. Not sure about this yet, but I'm here, so it must be okay.

Adventure is Out There!---Can't claim it as my own, Pixar gets the credit, but it sums up my feelings on life. I entertained "It's All Nonsense" for a bit, but I want my view to be a little more optimistic than that.

So, here I am. (Rock you like a hurricane)

I'm sure my creative writing professor, friend, mentor, and producer extraordinaire Margaret will be thrilled I've decided to write a la blogger.

However, I've got to have something to say, right? This being the maiden voyage of my blog and all. So let's talk. Actually, I'll talk. Well, type. I'll type, you read. Break.

Last night I finished reading "Head and Shoulders" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Brilliant stuff. Totally was on a writer's high afterwards. Went to bed listening to "The Unwinding Cable Car" which had me waking up with thoughts of the person who gave me that song (ah, an illusive story from the past to entice the reader! Margaret, be proud--plot development!) Back to Francis Scott--good story, you should read it. I'll have to bring it up with Chad as a possibility for our film this year.
I'll introduce myself later, but for now just know I like filmmaking. And reading.
...
No time like the present, so here I am.
I was born July. I must have manifest destiny in my veins; I have progessively moved west through my life. Born in Ohio, teened in Texas, university in Utah, and a Church mission in Oregon, with smattered visits to Europe and South America thrown in. Iceland is one of the greatest places on Earth.
I enjoy music, playing and listening. As I have said in the past, I am more likely to buy a piano before a bed.
I'm a hopeful romantic. I believe in happy endings and live by the phrase "Everything's going to be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." That said, the interim can be pretty crappy.

End on a a good note-- Applie pie is great, children are wonderful, and the best present is a handsome pen and a good leatherbound notebook.
